Hi everyone,

 

Franne and Marlene have arranged for us to have the use of the Party Room in the Clubhouse on Thursday, Feb 4th at 4 PM for a pot luck dinner and games.  Entry will be a dish for 6 people and you will want to bring your games.  Please rsvp to coordinate your pot luck dish and your games with Franne or Marlene.  They prefer that you reach them by phone.  Franne 478-9526 or Marlene 684-3663.  Sounds great, so mark your calendars, call to rsvp and enjoy.

 

Also,  Thanks to Hetty and Zach for booking the room, we will be able to have the Party Room in the Clubhouse for a Passover Seder, Monday, March 29th  7:15 PM-9 PM and for an Easter Dinner, Sunday, April 4th from 2 PM-4 PM.  All are invited to both celebrations.  This will be a group effort and you will hear more about these events in the middle of Feb.  We will need volunteers and people to prepare traditional dishes, so please keep this in mind.  We will make our plans at our Wednesday, Feb 17th meeting at 3 PM meeting in Classroom B in the Clubhouse.  Please plan to attend, as this will be a very important meeting.

 

Please check the Blog as this is where posting of Baby Boomer information by individuals and interesting events that Boomers might be interested in will be.  Remember, you can post any event you might think others might like to attend or even if you want to find someone who has a similar interest in something that you might like. 

 

If anyone wants to be added to the list, please have them email me directly.  It makes it much easier for me.  Take care and enjoy the sunshine.  See you in Feb.

Hi everyone,

 

• Please make sure you have emailed zacharymdavies@yahoo.com if you are going to attend the trip to the Wildlife Sanctuary and/or dinner.
• Hetty and Zach are inviting anyone who wishes to attend a special Friday night service with the Rabbis and Cantor from Temple Israel of West Bloomfield, MI at 7:30 on January 15, 2010 at the Embassy Suites, 661 NW 53rd Street, Boca Raton.  Oneg will follow.  If you wish to attend, please respond with an email to karla@temple-israel.org
• Thursday, Feb 11th at 4:30,  we will be having dinner at the Golden Corral near route 7 (441).  Exact address is 10100 Fox Trail Road South, WPB       561-793-0201  Please put on your calendars.
• More information will be coming about Passover and Easter Holiday Celebrations.  We hope to have a Boomer celebration of both holidays.
• If you volunteered for a week, I am still awaiting your information.
• Next Boomer meeting, Clubhouse, Classroom B, 3 PM, Jan 20th.  Please mark your calendars.

Picnic

Hi everyone,

The picnic was fun and it was great to see everyone.  Here is some information:

1. You will be getting email from Ken as we are going to be using a Blog, so that you will be able to contact the group when you want to post an activity or message to everyone.  (ex.  someone wants to have company to go to dinner or a movie, or needs a Maj or Poker game ).   This will give you a way to contact everyone when you want to post a message.  Please do not use the Distribution List, as this list is only for Boomer direct email.
2. Also, please do not send forwarded mail to people on the list without their prior knowledge as this is just filling up our mailboxes.  I, personally do not want any forwarded mail unless it pertains to the Boomers.  I appreciate everyone being aware of this very much as I have had some complaints about this issue.  Use the Blog for messages and such.
3. Please make your reservations with Hetty and Zach for the Thursday, January 7th trip.  It is imperative that you do so immediately, as they need 20 people to retain the Docent.  It promised to be a wonderful trip.  Follow the instructions given or contact me if you need another copy of the email with the information or never received the original message. 
4. Many of you are sending me emails for people who appear to have an interest in the Boomers.  I would prefer if you would have them email me directly.  Thank you.

DelRay Cruise on Tuesday, March 24

Dear Baby Boomers,

The sightseeing cruise does not require any payment but does require a reservation. Please make you own reservations and be there at 1 PM to assure your place. The cost is $18 for Seniors (even Baby Boomer Seniors). Please go to the previous email for website and telephone.

Coming Events

Hi everyone,

Here are some reminders and information:

Monday night, March 2 6 PM Golden Corral for dinner.

Linda is going to check and see if we can go to the Dog Track on the 12th. More information will be forthcoming.

March 17, Call Fran to make reservations for Mardi Gras Casino. It is $5, bus included with $10 back and lunch. Her number is 478-9526

The baseball game was sold out, so we changed the date and 10 of us already bought tickets for March,19 in section 206 row 6
Philly vs. Marlins. Premium game, so tickets were more money. Meet at 11 am with chairs at the Bandshell and bring a picnic lunch. Game starts at 1:05. If you want reservations call Ticketmaster, all information is at www.ROGERDEANSTADIUM.COM or call 561-775-1818.

March 24th Sightseeing Cruise. Dinner afterwards at Don Ramon (early bird $8.95 ) I will be sending you the information asap. You will have to make your own reservations.
